As I appraise and admire Michelangelo's statue of David, I am mesmerized and humbled, becoming evermore aware and apprecitive of the creativity of God ... and that of man.

David, you are truly a beautiful and powerful image! You are awesome energy frozen in stone, a representation of man's magnificence. I am mesmerized by your apparent grace and strength and I wonder what your thoughts were as Michelangelo released you from your matrix?

What are your thoughts now as I stand before you in unabashed admiration? I am mesmerized by Michelangelo's talent! You appear so life-like, that I feel a great urge to run my fingers along your arms and hands, to touch the cool marble of your shoulders, and the curls of your hair.

I want to say that I'm very glad to meet you and that I want to share a moment in time with you, to linger and appraise your awesome beauty and also to acknowledge the beauty and power ... which is God's beauty and power ... that is represented in the form of man! Ah yes, Michelangelo has captured this energy, here, in this breathtaking and splendid statue of you,

David. Well Done, Michelangelo! Well Done, indeed!
